Capturing and Displaying Priceless Memories

To The World You Maybe One Person, But To One Person You May Be the World

I have had this frame floating around for years. I could never decide what to but in it because I did not know what went with the quote on the plaque in the middle.

I had been considering just placing a photo over the plaque, but this morning I saw the below quote on pininterest and a light bulb flicked on. So I printed the quote and these pictures of six dogs that are very important to me. 

I aspire to be the person my dogs think I am.

I love the results! I always love finding beautiful ways to display my photos, instead of just keeping the pictures on my computer or in an album or shoebox.  Each photos conjures memories of the dog it contains.

For example,

Joplin (the dog on the middle left) reminds me that the time you get to spend with someone you love may be very short and that a picture can be priceless. Joplin was a shelter dog that I strongly bonded with as a kid. She will always be one of my favorite dogs, even though I never actually owned her. In the time we spent together. I grew to love this girl and did everything with her, including taking her in a parade, the shelter's dog jog, and a pet show. However do to an unfortunate event Joplin was put down, I always wish things could have been different for her. I never took many pictures as a kid and thus this is the only picture of her. It was taken for the bugle's pet of the week and given to me by the shelter. This is the only picture I have to remember Joplin by and it is priceless.

Joplin is one of the reasons I would like to get into pet photography. I would love to help capture priceless memories for other pet owners.

My February Photo Project

I cannot devote myself to the a photo a day for a year project because I get busy when I am at university, so I am going to do the photo a week project. But since I am in a term off school I decided to devote myself to a photo a day for February. To make it more difficult I used the daily prompts from Daily Dog Challenge on Flickr.

Creativity sure runs short when you are taking a picture a day, and the quality is not always the best as some are last minute pictures when it is starting to get dark or the dogs are not cooperating. Some of the pictures are not my best work, but by taking a picture a day I have managed to get some good shots.

Let It Snow

This is false advertising. As I would love spring to come, hoping it is just around the corner. However, with all the snow lately I have not been doing much with my horse, Lacey Jane. So she is just enjoying being a horse. I hope to get a early spring so I can spend more time with her and maybe use my trailer and get out riding with friends, before I head back to school for the summer.

What are your plans for spring when it arrives?
